United Way of Clallam County is encouraging community members to get out and volunteer — safely, with social distancing — for this year’s Day of Caring.
Community members are invited to participate either individually or with family members from a list of suggestions or create their own virtual volunteer project.
United Way Virtual Day of Caring to-go bags will be available for pick up at Port Angeles and Forks locations on Friday, Sept. 11. To-go bags include a garbage bag, rubber gloves, re-usable face mask, Live United T-Shirt, bottle of water and a snack.
Pick up bags from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at either the United Way Office, 905 W. Ninth St., Port Angeles, or Forks Chamber of Commerce, 1411 S. Forks Ave., Forks.
Volunteers can register and get more information at https://ift.tt/34SlQP7 2020VirtualDayOfCaring.
“Day of Caring is … the biggest day of collective volunteering across the country” said Amie Batton, United Way Campaign Chair. “We encourage you to pick a project, round up your family members, and help make a difference in our community.”
