From his guest book:
- “What a guy! I’m honored to have known him as a wonderfully caring veterinarian. Thank you, sir, for your service to our country and our beloved pets. You are already missed.”
-- Lorrie Harner
- “I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Fager at Lower Allen Vet clinic. He was a wonderful man and his personality had a spark to it that could light up a bulb if he wanted. On slow days he would often tell me stories of the history of the area and how things had changed since he was my age. He didn’t speak much about the war, but we would often swap veterinary stories. He was always just as fascinated by my experiences as I was by his. I count myself lucky to have known him.”
-- Patrick McVitty
- “Dr. Fager was a wonderful, kind and caring vet. He cared for my dogs and cat, even my rabbit for years. My whole family regarded a visit to him and his brother as a great field trip. We remember him fondly and were lucky to have had him to care for our furry friends.”
-- Jennifer Kornfeld
- “What a wonderful man and veterinarian Charles was. As I grew up, he treated all our pets. He was kind, caring, intelligent and the voice for our animals. He will be missed by many.”
-- Suzanne C. Swiler
- “Charlie Fager was my neighbor and, as I often told him, my hero. I don’t recall how I learned about his WW2 service but in his low-key manner he probably mentioned something when I would join him on his daily walk around the block. It is hard to imagine him making bombing runs over Europe and surviving, too. … His talent as a U of Penn veterinarian in practice with his brother speaks to his intellectual, professional and business talents. RIP.”
