Greater Clark Foundation

Since its inception, The Greater Clark Foundation (GCF) has focused on investments in people as the driving force for positive community action.

Regardless of the mechanism —What’s Your Ambition?! grants, the Public Innovators cohort, non-profit capacity building series, AMBITIONFest!, Legacy Grove Park, and more — our goal has always been the same: to expand the conversation and action around neighborhood and community issues so more residents can be involved in making this a region of bright spots and success stories.

During the past year, GCF’s efforts shifted heavily to helping our community weather the simultaneous storms of COVID-19, momentous calls for racial justice, and how we can come together after a divisive election.

Working alongside one another, we’ve seen firsthand the incredible knowledge, skills and passion that reside within our region and, in particular, the non-profit sector.

We’ve witnessed renewed calls to action from citizens who are passionate about improving our quality of life. At the same time, so many of us feel worn out. The emotional, financial, mental and physical demands of the last year have zapped the organic energy many of us rely on.

As we near the one-year mark since our lives changed dramatically, I invite you to join us for an engaging series designed to help us reclaim our spark, reclaim our organic energy and inspire us to stay rooted in the importance of local action.

Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 10, and continuing for three weeks, I invite you to join us for “Leading with Love: Caring for Our Community and Ourselves.”

Colleague and friend Rich Harwood will join us for three Wednesdays in February for intimate conversations to nurture and sustain us.  A short description is below. Please feel free to share this information in your networks.

“Leading with Love: Caring for Our Community and Ourselves”

We believe in the abundant capacity of people to create communities they cherish.  But what does it take to be a force for good in an increasingly complex world?  In these tough times, how can you step forward and feel more grounded, unleash more of the potential of your efforts, and actively take care of yourself so your work is authentic, joyful and sustainable? Join Rich Harwood of The Harwood Institute, together with your colleagues and friends, for a special 3-part series to create more hope for yourself and our community. All sessions are free; pre-registration is requested.

“Leading with Love: Caring for Our Community and Ourselves” will be Feb. 10, 17, 24 from noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern Time via Zoom. Pre-registration is required.
