Amanda Henson, from Munford, died Sept. 22 after a battle against the coronavirus. She was 36 years old.

A Gofundme was set up in her honor to help her family pay for funeral costs. As of Sunday afternoon, nearly $1,000 had been raised, with a goal of $10,000.

“Amanda was a very loving and caring person,” the fundraiser reads.

Efforts to reach her family were not immediately successful.

“She loved to take pictures and listen to music,” her obituary states.

“Amanda was the daughter of Keith and Sherry Henson. Her family is in need to help pay for the funeral expenses and medical bills due to no life insurance. If you can donate please do so, if not share to help! Thank you in advance for any and all donations.”

According to her obituary, Henson is survived by her parents, Keith Henson and Sherry Henson; and her sister Samantha Henson. A funeral service was held on Sept. 24 at the Salt Creek Baptist Cemetery.
