Here are the dates and times of each event
VICTORIA, Texas – Through Aug. 1, Victoria College is participating in the United Way of the Crossroads “Summer of Caring” with various events scheduled on VC’s Main Campus.
“Financial Stability Week” is from June 28 through July 4. During this week, VC’s Financial Aid Office will host a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) event from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29 in Room 209 of Johnson Hall. Prospective and current Victoria College students will receive help with completing the FAFSA application, and free lunch will be provided.
On July 5 through July 11, Victoria College’s Student Life Department will hold a Children’s Book Drive during “Summer Learning Week.” Books can be dropped off at the Student Center of Student Services buildings, Johnson Hall or Health Sciences Center on VC’s Main Campus. Victoria College’s Maintenance Department will also sponsor a “Tiny Library Build.”
On July 12 through July 18, VC Student Life will host “Support Your Neighbor Week” and will have stations in the Student Center, Health Sciences Center, Johnson Hall and Student Services building. The public can leave notes of thanks to essential workers throughout the Crossroads region at these stations.
On July 19 through July 25, “Get Healthy Week” will be held, with a free mental health first-aid class being offered on July 14 and July 19 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Student Center Dining Area. On July 19 through July 22, VC Athletes will host a mile walk beginning at the Sports Center at 9 a.m.
On July 26 through Aug. 1 will be “Pay It Forward Week.” VC Student Life will sell snow cones on Tuesday, July 27 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the United Way.
