United Way seeks volunteers for Day of Caring - Seymour Tribune

lagikapans.blogspot.com

Jackson County United Way’s annual Day of Caring is scheduled for Sept. 11.

The organization has had many great projects submitted and looks forward to having volunteers all over Jackson County.

At this time, project requesting in closed. All current projects that have been submitted will be completed Sept. 11.

United Way, however, is still in need of volunteers. If you or your company would be interested in taking on a project, sign up online at jacsy.org/volunteersignupform. All state and local health guidelines will be followed to make sure volunteers are in a healthy and safe environment.

A virtual Week of Caring will be taking place from Sept. 7 to 11. During that week, United Way will encourage people to get out in the community and do something good. This opportunity is for people who are unable to volunteer on Day of Caring or want to get involved in their communities.

United Way will post ideas on its Facebook page, facebook.com/myjacsy, and people are urged to create their own caring projects to do during that week. Snap a picture completing a project or task with the hashtag #covidcantbeatcaringinjacksoncounty and be entered to win a United Way swag bag.
