Peterman has led Primary Health since 2004.

It now has 23 clinics around the Treasure Valley, with more than 120 health care providers in urgent care, primary care and specialty care.

The clinics conduct as many as 700,000 patient visits per year, the release said.

Peterman also has provided data and information to government officials and the public during the pandemic, as one of Idaho’s largest providers of COVID-19 testing.

Dr. Daniel Reed, the group’s director of family medicine, will take over as CEO.

“What we have accomplished over the past 18 years is incredible,” Peterman said in an email to employees, according to the release.

“My success and the success of the company are directly related to the hard work and talent of all of you,” he wrote. “I am very gratified and especially thankful for the care you have provided our community during the pandemic. Your efforts have positively impacted more than a million patient visits, and you have saved thousands of lives.”
