- Atrius Health recently announced that it has tapped Kyruus, the leader in provider search and scheduling solutions for health systems, for its digital solutions, in an effort to enhance patient access to care across Eastern Massachusetts.
Atrius Health, Northeast’s largest non-profit independent medical group, is undertaking a series of digital initiatives to modernize care access as part of their mission to “transform care to improve lives.” Its collaboration with Kyruus will ensure consumers connect with the right providers for their online care.
“At Atrius Health, we’re committed to streamlining access to care and helping consumers find the right providers for their needs,” said Marci Sindell, chief marketing officer and SVP of external affairs at Atrius Health.
Currently, Atrius Health serves more than 1,100 providers while Kyruus serves more than 745,000 adult pediatric patients.
The health systems will work together to build enhanced profile information for Atrius Health providers by leveraging Kyruus’ provider data management platform. And Kyruus will serve as a support system for Atrius Health’s future consumer-facing service offerings to extend online scheduling to new patients and ensure that individuals receive accurate matching.
“Convenience of both the care itself and the access experience are at the heart of our digital front door initiatives, and we’re excited to work with Kyruus to improve how we manage and enhance access to our provider network,” Sindell concluded.
The organizations also strive to improve access and care coordination and help patients efficiently navigate the healthcare system on their own. Atrius shares a common goal with Kyruus of amplifying the impact of technology in healthcare to engage payers in new ways.
“With our headquarters here in Boston, we’ve been able to see firsthand Atrius Health’s commitment to providing high-quality, coordinated care and innovating around patient access,” said Graham Gardner, CEO of Kyruus. “We’re thrilled to now have the opportunity to not only support the team’s current provider data management and digital access initiatives but also collaborate with them at the leading edge of care coordination.”
Last year, Atrius Health and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts partnered to launch a new alternative payment model intended to enhance patient care by providing more affordable options.
The payment model focused on developing more convenient ways of accessing care, integrating population health programs, and boosting technology usage in the healthcare space. Atrius Health received a global budget for the care of more than 130,000 of its patients who are Blue Cross members.
“We’re excited to collaborate more deeply with Atrius Health to advance the goal of better care at a more affordable cost with an experience that helps patients better navigate the health system,” said Andrew Dreyfus, president and CEO of BlueCross.
The partnership promotes better alignment across both organizations and allows Atrius Health to invest more in care delivery models to boost patient care experience.
