The school-based health center aims to treat this problem.

"So they don't have to go home or stay home they can actually be helped and supported and then return to school," Lolli said.

The $700,000, 5,300 square foot facility is attached to Roosevelt Elementary School.

The facility will provide care for physical ailments as well as behavioral health care.

"This helps parents who may not be able to get off work to get their child to a doctor; we would be able to provide services," Gina McFarlene, CEO of Five River Health Centers said.

Students who don't attend Roosevelt will be bused there to see a doctor at the center.

Care is at no cost to the student or their family.
