The United Way of Hardin County’s 2nd Annual Days of Caring is set for June 11th & 12th.
Days of Caring is the United Way’s way to bring the community together and celebrate volunteerism by giving back and volunteering at non- profit agencies.
Last year they had over 50 volunteers throughout Hardin County doing service projects at local agencies and parks, doing things like painting, yard work, cleaning, and picking up trash at parks.
This year they hope to double the amount of volunteers and make a greater impact.
HealthWise has collaborated with the United Way to have the health bus in Dunkirk on June 11 from 9-11 performing health screenings and giving J&J Covid shots to anyone 18 yrs or older at no cost.
For the complete discussion on the topic with the United Way Executive Director Michele Daniels, as well as Dr. Michael Rush from Healthwise, tune in Public Eye Saturday morning at 7:30 and Sunday at noon on WKTN.
