LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Lee Health has surpassed the all-time high of COVID-19 patients admitted to their hospitals on Monday, officials said.
There are 557 COVID-19 patients being cared for at Lee Health hospitals as of August 16, a spokesperson for Lee Health said.
Since Friday, Lee Health admitted 228 new COVID-19 patients and sent home 156 people who recovered from COVID-19, according to the spokesperson.
There are 52 COVID-19 patients on ventilators and 90 in the intensive care unit.
Lee Health is currently operating at 90% staffed operational bed capacity.
