September webinar to address best practices in caring for patients experiencing suicidality - Washington State Hospital Association

lagikapans.blogspot.com

Emergency departments (EDs) have historically shouldered a significant burden in providing crisis care to patients experiencing suicidality. In Washington, this amounts to approximately 4,000 individuals seeking suicide-related care from our EDs each month.

WSHA is excited to partner with the University of Washington and other community organizations to present All Patients Safe: Supporting ED Providers in Suicide Prevention Best Practices from 12-1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22. This webinar is free and will provide resources for providers, clinical team members and administrators who work in ED settings. The event will debut a new checklist developed in partnership with ED providers and input from individuals with lived experience. It will also feature a panel discussion with a diverse group of providers. While the webinar will focus on ED settings, we encourage members in other care settings to also attend. Please view the WSHA website for more information or register here. (Brooke Evans)
