Residents who want to help others in the community still have time to sign up for the United Way of Weld County Day of Caring.

The Day of Caring, which is the organization’s largest single-day volunteer event, will take place Aug. 28. More than 100 volunteers are still needed to fulfill the 13 projects.

These projects include landscaping, trail building and reflooring for organizations like the Sexual Assault Victim Advocate Center, Glenmere Park, ABC Child Development Centers and A Woman’s Place.

The 13 projects need 158 volunteers, UWWC reports. It encourages families, work groups and others to sign up. Registration closes Aug. 22.

For more information and to see the full list of projects, go to www.UnitedWay-Weld.org/volunteer. Questions can be directed to Nicole Quinn at Nicole@UnitedWay-Weld.org or (970) 304-6198.
