Genesis HealthCare System is going to partner with Nationwide Children’s Hospital later this year. The move will provide a high level of care to children in Southeastern Ohio. Starting this fall, specialized pediatric hospitalists will be on-site at Genesis 24 hours a day, seven days a week. They will provide care to patients in the pediatric unit. “For many years, Genesis HealthCare System has partnered with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, a national leader in pediatric medical care, in a number of ways, including telemedicine consultations and our Level II intermediate care nursery,” said Mathew Perry, Genesis HealthCare System president and CEO. “We are excited to enhance our partnerships so that we can provide even more services locally to children and families in Southeastern Ohio. By having specialized pediatric hospitalists care for patients at Genesis, more children and their families can stay closer to home.”
