A lot of attention has been directed at our first responders, our nurses and doctors, our delivery personnel, our grocery store staff, etc. I have yet to see any attention given to grandparents.
Grandparents are the calm in a storm of uncertainty. Grandparents are the consistent reliable factor especially when their grandchildren are displaced from school.
Those single parents who are now working from home are required to provide not only food, shelter, and clothing to their children, but also are expected to act as substitute teacher.
How does a single parent juggle all these responsibilities? If they are fortunate to have loving grandparents, it’s easy.
