The Quality of Care Network, together with the WHO, is starting a new webinar series on Lessons learned from providing quality care during COVID-19 #1 to share how quality improvement initiatives have adapted to respond to the challenges of providing quality MNCH care during a pandemic. The series will showcase examples from the Quality of Care Network countries and beyond.
The first webinar in this series will take place next week - 29 October at 10 am GMT - on remote learning and coaching, with an example from Nigeria.
This webinar will share how the project ‘Reducing the Indirect Causes of Maternal Morbidity and
Mortality’(RICOM3)- is testing a quality of care model to reduce the indirect causes of maternal mortality and morbidity in Lagos and the Federal Capital territory, Nigeria.
Even before the pandemic, the project was using digital tools, both to liaise with women of reproductive age and to provide a learning system on these issues for health workers who deliver antenatal care. This webinar will present how RICOM3 leveraged these existing platforms to mitigate service disruption during the COVID-19 outbreak.
